P05
The entry IBM i software tier, subscription-only for new purchases and license transfers since May 7, 2024.
P05 is IBM's lowest IBM i software tier, generally paired with the smallest scale-out Power cores. Perpetual P05 licenses are no longer sold new; existing perpetual P05 licenses can remain in place but any new purchase or transfer is subscription-only.
