ISV
Independent Software Vendor, a third-party publisher of IBM i software such as HA/DR, backup, security, or ERP add-on products.
Most HA/DR and security software on IBM i comes from ISVs rather than IBM directly. Because ISVs generally do not publish list pricing, comparing them to IBM's own published tier and PowerHA figures requires requesting quotes from each vendor against the same configuration.
